Yogi Bhajan (born Harbhajan Singh Khalsa) was a spiritual leader and teacher who introduced Kundalini Yoga to the United States. He was born in India and moved to the United States in 1969, where he founded the 3HO (Healthy, Happy, Holy Organization) movement and the Sikh Dharma religion. He was known for his teachings on meditation, yoga, and healthy living, and was considered a master of Kundalini Yoga. He passed away in 2004.
“If you want to learn something, read about it. If you want to understand something, write about it. If you want to master something, teach it.” ― Yogi Bhajan. “If you want to learn something, read about it. If you want to understand something, write about it. If you want to master something, teach it.” ― Yogi Bhajan. The quote is a well-known saying that is often attributed to various authors and educators. This quote emphasizes the importance of actively engaging with a subject in order to truly understand and master it. By reading about a topic, we can gain knowledge about it. By writing about it, we can deepen our understanding and gain insight. And by teaching it, we can not only solidify our own knowledge, but also help others to learn.
A book about Kundalini Yoga that I would recommend is “The Kundalini Yoga Experience: Bringing Body, Mind, and Spirit Together” by Darryl O’Keeffe. This book provides a comprehensive introduction to Kundalini Yoga, including its history, principles, and practices. It also includes step-by-step instructions and illustrations for a variety of Kundalini Yoga exercises and meditations.
